Pastor:  Sarah Lund

Sarah received a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary followed by a Masters in Social Work from Rutgers. Her Bachelor's degree in Religion is from Trinity University. She was ordained by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in 2002 and has ministerial standing in both the Disciples and United Church of Christ.

She received an award for excellence in preaching at Princeton. She was recognized for leadership ministry during her study at Rutgers and also was selected as Outstanding Volunteer of the Year at Trinity University.

Her outreach and service work took her to a homeless shelter in Scotland, a trauma hospital in the Pacific Islands, and a New York City church.  Her ministries have included work with the elderly, chronically ill and victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

She was called to the United Church of Christ in New Smyrna Beach in the Fall of 2005. Since that time, she has spearheaded involvement in community activities, ecumenical endeavors, has led adult discussion groups and has provided dynamic ministry and leadership for our church. She and her husband, Jonathan were married in the Fall of 2006 and reside in New Smyrna Beach.

Barry Sturms:  Music Director

In addition to leading the Chancel Choir and providing music for both services, Barry is the Band Director at New Smyrna Beach Middle High.  He and his wife, Sharon,  also perform at various  community venues, blending voice and trumpet into a dynamic musical duo!

Pam Hopper:  Youth Director

Pam has been Youth Director and adult leader for the Teens in Action group since the position was created in 2000. In addition to her role as Youth Director, she is also a Stephen Minister and has served on several task forces and committees. Her enthusiasm, love of working with youth and her considerable talents have promoted exciting change and growth in the youth program.

Cindy Cunningham: Office Manager

When you call the church office, you will usually hear the pleasant voice and greeting from Cindy.  She manages her multiple duties with a smile, skill, commitment and a "can do" attitude.
